A New Week

All I have to say is thank goodness it’s summer.  Everyone dreads Sunday nights for one reason or another, but luckily it’s summer and there’s no school.  I don’t mind waking up early Monday morning as long as I don’t have to go straight to class.  Seriously, I could wake up at 4 am for a horse show (pfff who am I kidding, I barely show) but it’s near impossible to wake up at 6:30 am for school….

Tomorrow I start my job as counselor at the Personal Fulfillment Art Camp in New Canaan.  This is my third year working there, but this is the first year I actually have a use for the paycheck.  My barn life is a little crazy right now, but long story short I will start leasing this year.  And, like all horse people know, horses don’t come cheap (especially nice ones!).

I plan on working another job later in the summer to put towards my lease as well.  It’ll involve organizing and sorting and unpacking and probably some heavy lifting, which is not nearly as fun as supervising kids doing arts and crafts all day.  But, if I want to make leasing a reality this year, then I need to work.

Unfortunately, with tomorrow being a Monday, the barn isn’t open.  I guess I’ll have to think of something to do to with all that free time tomorrow afternoon.  Blobbing marathon anyone?

Ready for Anything and Everything

First posts are never good…I think.  Therefore, I’ll keep mine short and sweet.  Everything in my life appears to be coming very fast, all at once, and I’m so excited to saddle up for the ride.
